Location. Burj Al Arab is located in Dubai, 100 metres from the Souk Madinat Jumeirah and five kilometres from Palm Island. The city centre is 15 kilometres away. Hotel Features. This hotel sits 321 metres above sea level on an man-made island linked to the Dubai mainland by causeway. The decor throughout is lavish, in bold tones, and amenities include a full-service health spa, indoor swimming pool, and hair salon. Complimentary wireless Internet is available throughout, and airport transfers via limousine or helicopter can be arranged. Burj Al Arab has a selection of restaurants including pan-Asian cuisine, a seafood restaurant reached via submarine, and a cocktail bar with panoramic views of the Jumeirah Beach shoreline. Scuba Diving The scuba diving is the most exotic and interesting type of vacation. It is enjoying and you have a lot of fun. We also offer the Equipment Rental. The main zones of diving and snorkeling in the UAE are Jebel Ali/Dubai, Al Aqah/Fujairah, Musandam. The Musandam is very isolated and sparsely populated - and the diving here is brilliant! Most of the dive sites in the Musandam are sloping sides descending from the Hajar Mountain fjords. Coral reef is abundant in this remote area, reef fish, rays, dolphins, sea turtles and whale sharks are frequently sighted. The sloping sides at most dive sites make the sites suitable for all level of diver, as you can choose your depth. We classify the Musandam area into Zone 1 (which refers to dive sites between the Dibba Port and Leema Rock); and Zone 2 (which refers to the further dive sites from Leema Rock up to Khor Hablane). Currents in the area make it advisable for Zone 1 divers to have the Open Water certification with 20 logged dives, and Zone 2 divers to be at least PADI Advanced Open Water certification holders. Musandam trips by speedboat run daily. From Sunday to Thursday, the speedboat will visit Zone 1 or Zone 2, depending on demand. On most holidays, when the weather is good, we run an overnight dhow trip in Zone 1. The speedboat departs from the Golden Tulip Dibba at 8:30am, returning by 3pm. The guests of dive center have complimentary use of the beach and pool facilities, as well as 25% discount on the food and beverage. Al Aqah/Fujairah: Dives to the local favourite reef and wreck sites leave daily at 9am; 12pm and 3pm. Snorkelling trips leave daily at 3pm and private snorkelling trips can be booked. An artificial reef site has been placed just off the hotel swimming area and is developing well. Conservation courses and reef monitoring courses are available on this developing reef on request. Dibba Rock Dibba Rock is a nature reserve marked by the beacons around the island. You can expect to see a lot of reef fish: parrot-fish, clown fish and banner-fish, as well as turtles, stingrays and maybe a friendly reef shark. There are lots of corals to see: brain corals, raspberry-rice coral, and hard corals Maximum depth is 8-12m. Martini Rock Martini Rock is named because some people think that it looks like an up-side-down martini glass. The rock has sloping sides that descend to a maximum depth of 12m. You can expect to see a lot of reef fish: boxfish, clown fish and damselfish, as well as turtles, and possibly a seahorse on the far side. Watch out for and be careful not to touch sea urchins, jellyfish and stonefish. Sharm Rock Sharm Rock is a nature reserve marked by the beacons around the island. You can expect to see a lot of reef fish: pipefish, puffer-fish and sergeant major fish, as well as turtles. There are a lot of corals to see: brain corals, raspberry-rice coral, and hard corals. Watch out for and be careful not to touch sea urchins, jellyfish and stonefish. Maximum depth is 8-12m.
